About the Recipe
This French Toast recipe is my husband, Riley's go-to fall favorite. He makes it for me as a sweet treat for either breakfast or dinner per my request. It's so simple and encompasses all the sweet flavors of maple and cinnamon that I crave this time of year without the gourmet number of steps. The secret: We let the Innkeeper's streusel cinnamon bread from Costco carry the flavor work while we reap the benefits of a ten minute meal.

Ingredients
8 slices of Innkeeper's Cinnamon Streusel Bread (yes, bread matters here!)
4 large eggs
Butter or coconut oil for cooking (if you're substituting butter, I recommend coconut oil for sweetness)
Maple syrup for drizzling
Optional Toppings:
Powdered sugar for dusting
Fresh fruits like strawberries, blueberries, or blackberries
Banana would also be delicious!
Chocolate or caramel syrups
Chocolate chips
Whipped cream

Preparation
Step 1:
Soak Bread: Dip each slice of bread into the custard mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side.
Step 2:
Cook on the Stove or Griddle: Heat a griddle or large skillet over medium heat. Add a small amount of butter or coconut oil to coat the surface. Place soaked bread slices on the griddle and cook until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
Step 3:
Serve: Transfer the cooked French toast to serving plates. Drizzle with maple syrup.
Step 4:
Garnish and Enjoy: Garnish with fresh berries, a dollop of whipped cream, or your favorite dessert syrup. Serve warm and enjoy.
